Empire mahogany desk

Flat desk in mahogany, Empire style, late 19th century. The top is covered with light leather, gilded around the edges. The lower and upper parts of the legs are adorned with chiselled bronze rings. The four legs are connected by a stretcher, which adds sturdiness to the whole piece. This furniture can be placed in the centre of a room, with the back part cut in such a way that one person can work facing another. The interiors of the drawers are made of solid oak, and the patina is warm and nuanced. L 143.5 cm H 75 cm D 69.5 cm.
