Standing cabinet in cherry wood, typical of the Louis XV style, offering a refined and warm presence. This regional piece is distinguished by its moulded cornice and delicate marquetry of a compass rose on the upper crossbar, a rare detail that signifies meticulous craftsmanship. The front features a single door, mounted on large original hinges, adorned with a panel of intricate mouldings. The long brass entry, finely crafted, comes with its key and a functional lock, adding to the authentic charm of the whole. The functional interior opens to a storage space composed of three adjustable shelves on rails, allowing the cabinet to be adapted for various uses: linen, crockery, books, or personal items. The cut and voluted lower crossbar is complemented by Louis XV snail feet, bringing a note of lightness and movement. The cherry wood, with its warm tones and careful patina, gives this piece a soft and luminous presence. A very beautiful character piece, both decorative and practical, ideal for adding a touch of authenticity to a contemporary or classic interior. Period: late 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our cabinetmaking workshop. Waxed finish.
