Ceramic gourd from the Desvres factory with polychrome floral decoration. Charming gourd made of Desvres earthenware, with a flattened circular shape, adorned with a rich hand-painted floral decoration in deep blue, green, pink, and violet tones, on a delicately striated cream background. The plant composition, featuring stylized flowers and generous arabesques, reflects the traditional decorative inspiration of Desvres earthenware. The piece has a narrow neck, a circular base decorated with geometric patterns, and side attachments designed to hold a carrying handle. This handle is still present, in the form of an old braided cord, now patinated by time. The reverse reveals an ivory-glazed interior as well as cord fastening elements, characteristic of its utilitarian and decorative design. This gourd is a beautiful piece of regional French earthenware, both decorative and imbued with authenticity, ideal for a characterful interior or a collection of antique ceramics.
