Pitcher Art-Populaire in ancient sandstone

The pitcher is in very good condition, no gaps, no cracks or splinters. It is a very beautiful old sandstone, early twentieth century, of regional french manufacture. It is heavy, and the earth, dense and tight, has a fine grain. The enamel on the outside of the pitcher is matte, of a lively and rich gradient beige-red. The interior is enamelled with a beautiful milky off-white. Very nice piece of folk art.
