Large danish mid-century table lamp. Design svend aage holm sørensen, for holm sørensen, denmark. An iron structure composed of horizontal and vertical lines forms a variety of geometric shapes. These shapes create square and rectangular frames, some of which are filled with colored glass elements in yellow and ochre tones. Painted wooden base. Svend aage holm sørensen (1913-2004) was a danish designer. He is known for his lighting fixtures. He probably designed lamps for other danish manufacturers before starting his own company. His designs were sold under the name "holm-sorensen & pedersen belysning aps" and later "holm sørensen a/s". Holm sørensen's style was initially influenced by modernism, and possibly de stijl and bauhaus. In the 1960s, holm sørensen's style changed completely. He began working with unfinished brass and copper surfaces, in a typically brutalist style, which was popular from the 1950s to the mid-1970s. New wiring. Very good condition. New lampshade included. Manufacturer's label present.
