Vintage chrome / white Bauhaus floor lamp Gubi Bestlite BL3

DESCRIPTION: A beautiful design floor lamp from the Danish brand Gubi, designed by Robert Dudley. The lamp is a true design classic from the Bauhaus Bestlite series. The lamp can be easily adjusted by slightly lifting the neck, allowing it to move along the rod. The head can also be adjusted by simply moving it, and the lamp can be rotated on its base. The Architects Journal called the Bestlite the first Bauhaus product in the United Kingdom, which made design enthusiasts across the country notice the lamp. Public demand grew when Winston Churchill personally chose the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk, helping to secure the iconic status of the Bestlite brand. The Bestlite BL3 floor lamp in yellow brass/black was designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best, a British designer influenced by the Bauhaus school. The clean lines and elegant appearance offer a unique simplicity combined with a flexible arm and adjustable lampshade. The Bestlite BL3 floor lamp can be used as a reading lamp in any corner of the modern home. DIMENSIONS: Max height: 124cm, Min height: 113cm (the lamp itself can be lower), Length: 66cm, Width: 28cm. CONDITION: The lamp leans slightly forward, which I tried to adjust without success. Otherwise, one scratch on the base (see last photos).
