Carved indian furniture

Old indian bridal chest carved in solid wood. The damchiya was the traditional chest containing the dowry that the indian bride took with her to live with her husband. It was made at the request of the bride's family, in anticipation of the wedding. Each piece is therefore unique! Damchiyas were traditionally painted in bright colors. We have kept the patina intact of it. This is a vintage piece, second-hand, traces of use are present, which contributes to its uniqueness and charm.
