Brutalist-style chandelier produced by BD Lumica in the 1970s. It is composed of rectangular brass plates, arranged in a staggered pattern at different heights, from which hang teardrop-shaped glass prisms. The structure of the chandelier evokes the composition of skyscrapers or the abstract metal textures characteristic of Brutalist art. The gilded brass features a matt patina that contrasts with shinier sections, making it unique. This decade, as well as embracing the sculptural and Brutalist aesthetic, was marked by the Hollywood Regency movement, a style focused on glamour and eccentricity. The teardrops and hanging prisms are finely faceted to refract light and create flashes of colour (rainbows) throughout the room. The lamp combines the robustness of metal with the delicacy of glass. It has 10 light points. Ten crystals missing. The dimensions and weight of the lamp require individualized transport calculations.
