Coffee Table in Chrome & Glass - Attributed to Cassina /Gianfranco Frattini

DESCRIPTION For sale is an elegant, sculptural coffee table featuring a round glass tabletop and a distinctive frame made of chrome-plated steel. The design strongly evokes Model 784 by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina. According to the previous owner, who purchased the piece in the 1970s, it is a work by the Italian designer. As there are no maker’s marks present on the piece, we offer it as an attribution to Gianfranco Frattini. The table stands out for its sleek transparency and the sophisticated curvature of its frame. CONDITION The coffee table is in good vintage condition. The glass top shows light signs of surface wear in the form of minor scratches, as well as a tiny chip (approx. 1–2 mm) on the underside of the glass edge (see detailed photograph). The chrome frame retains a charming vintage patina. For optimal protection of the glass top, the placement of subtle rubber bumpers on the frame’s support points is recommended.
