Authentic traditional Kokeshi doll (Dento Kokeshi) made of solid wood, entirely carved and hand-painted in Japan. This vintage model of folk art from the Tōhoku region is signed in black ink under its base by the master craftsman 国栄 (Kuniei). An inscription from the period in pencil attests to its precise collection date: 28th November 1986. Its cylindrical body features the traditional decoration of horizontal green and red ring patterns. The face displays fine features of great delicacy under a black and purple painted headdress. A magnificent certified collector's piece.
