Karl Sørlie & Sønner 3-seater modular bench and coffee table

Teak lounge set comprising four modular elements: three armchairs and one coffee table. Saga model, Norwegian manufacture, 1960s, by Karl Sørlie and Sønner, designed by Gunnar Sørlie. The unique feature of the Saga combination furniture is its frame, which serves as the base element, supporting both the tabletop and the seats. Two solid teak frames: the first accommodates three elements: three seats or two seats plus the coffee table. The second frame is similar but smaller, accommodating a single element: either a seat or the tabletop. Seats and backs have been fully restored by a master upholsterer: new padding and new, water-repellent, easy-care pearl gray fabric. Signed Karl Sørlie and Sønner, Norway, under the tabletop. Dimensions of the individual coffee table frame: 66 cm wide, 60 cm deep, 40 cm high. 3-seater structure: 177 cm wide, 75 cm deep, 70 cm high, seat height 39 cm.
