A decorative pair of antique terracotta pedestal columns dating to the 1950s–1960s. Designed as architectural supports for planters, urns or other decorative objects, the pedestals feature cylindrical bodies with classical fluted detailing and molded circular bases and tops. The terracotta has acquired a distinctive weathered surface and rich patina over the decades. Variations in tone, staining, surface wear, marks, cracks and traces of natural weathering are visible throughout and form an integral part of their authentic aged character. Their sculptural proportions and beautifully distressed surfaces give the pair a strong decorative presence. They can be used as planter stands, display pedestals or architectural accents in an entrance hall, conservatory, covered terrace or interior. The pair is particularly appealing for interiors where authentic patina and architectural character are desired. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed view of the condition, patina and age-related wear. Two matching terracotta pedestal columns are available. Each column is sold separately. The listed price is for one column only.
