Serving spoon Christofle, model America designed by Luc Lanel in 1933. First quality silver-plated metal, almond-shaped bowl, cut corner handle. 24 cm. Measuring 24 cm in length and 7.5 cm in width at the bowl, the spoon weighs 132 g. It is suitable for serving gratins, vegetables, rice, or desserts. It is made of silver-plated metal: two hallmarks are inscribed inside the bowl, on either side, near the neck. The first is the rectangular master hallmark with the initials OC, for Orfèvrerie Christofle, accompanied by the name CHRISTOFLE. The second is the square quality hallmark featuring a chess knight and the letters OC, accompanied by the mention FRANCE. It bears the Roman numeral I, which the company has added since 1983 to designate the first of its two qualities of silver plating. The piece therefore belongs to production after this date. It is in good condition and shows only slight signs of use, in the form of fine scratches visible in low light.
