17th-century French brass candlestick – circa 1690

This 17th-century candlestick from France is made of brass and dates from circa 1690. The tall baluster stem, with a drip pan halfway up, rests on a triangular base with three small feet. The candlestick shows the signs of use you would expect after more than 300 years – and that is exactly what makes it so authentic. Beautiful on its own or grouped with other old candlesticks, in a classic, rustic or wabi-sabi interior. Condition: good, with signs of use consistent with age.
