Vintage cup Fortuné Schmitter - Betschdorf - Salt-glazed stoneware from Alsace

Cup / small vintage vase in French stoneware with a cat design. Charming vintage piece in glazed stoneware, adorned with a lovely relief decoration depicting cats gazing at a starry sky and a crescent moon. Very nice contrast of blue-purple and green on a lightly speckled light grey background. The engraved and glazed decoration gives it a true artisanal character. French made, with stamps and the mention "Made in France" under the base. Estimated period: second half of the 20th century, probably 1970-1990. Overall in beautiful vintage condition. A few small marks under the base related to age and use, visible in the photographs. Can be used as a cup, small plant pot, pencil holder, or simply as a decorative object.
