Beautiful ceramic table lamp designed by Per Linnemann Schmidt for Palshus. The Danish sculptor and ceramist studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in the 1930s. In 1949, he founded Palshus Stentøj in Sengeløse, just outside Copenhagen, together with his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt. The name Palshus is a combination of their names with the addition of the Danish word for house, Hus. They produced tableware, vases, and lamps in Scandinavian earth tones until 1972. This lamp, model DL-49, has a base with a dark brown glaze with green speckles. The table lamp has a height of 50 cm and the shade has a diameter of 41 cm. Condition: Good vintage condition.
