Glazed ceramic table lamp “Azul Rimini” designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, Italy, 1960s. Aldo Londi (1911-2003) was an Italian ceramist and designer, recognized as a key figure in 20th-century ceramics. Born in Montelupo Fiorentino, he trained in artisan workshops from a young age. After World War II, Londi joined Bitossi Ceramiche as artistic director for over five decades, creating more than a thousand designs. His most famous work, the Rimini Blu series, is celebrated for its intense blue tones, rich textures, and blend of traditional craftsmanship with modern design.
