Ethnic vase in antique brass, handcrafted in India.

Copper vase covered in brass. Originating from India, handcrafted, probably from the 19th or 20th century. Very good quality and in good condition, with marks and corrosion, slightly convex base, old patina, please refer to the photos. Traditionally, this is a kalash or kalasha, meaning a water pot, jug, or pitcher, placed near the entrance as a sign of welcome, for receiving important guests or during rituals. It is also a very beautiful piece for collection or decoration, as a pot, vase, or container... Dimensions: base diameter 10.5 cm, centre 20 cm, opening 11.2 cm. Height 18 cm. Weight: 2635 g.
