This exceptional chandelier is a unique piece made to order in the 1980s, probably at the initiative of an enlightened collector passionate about the iconography of the French Revolution. A true work of decorative art, it boldly combines neoclassical aesthetics and patriotic symbols, in a spectacular and elegant composition. Featuring six copper-leaf gilded tube light arms, this chandelier deploys its light around a blue enameled crown, adorned with small green targets with gold centers. In the center of the shaft, a set inspired by lictor's fasces, encircled by three tricolor rings, frames a red Phrygian cap, a strong nod to revolutionary iconography. Its 1.10 m suspension chain allows for installation at adjustable height depending on the volumes, but it can also be placed flush with the ceiling for a total height of 60 cm. Diameter: 60 cm. Fully electrified, it is ready to install. A few subtle signs of wear and tear over time give it a charming patina. This rare chandelier—unavailable on the market today—will fit perfectly into an Empire or classic interior, or as a contrast to a contemporary setting.
