This original vintage chandelier from the 1930s is an important six-arm light fixture made of gilt and burnished brass with white lacquered details. Attributed to the iconic Italian designer Gio Ponti and architect Emilio Lancia, two key figures in Italian design and architecture during the Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern periods, this piece showcases the 'Novecento' style, which harmoniously merged neoclassical traditions with modern design. The chandelier features six serpentine arms shaped like stylized horns or cornucopia, ending in curved points, and adorned with floret-shaped bobeches and finials, all anchored by a series of sleek disks and eggs. The geometric and foliate elements combine for a balanced and graceful aesthetic. The chandelier comes with six cone-shaped lampshades. It is in excellent structural condition with minor wear and oxidation due to age and use. The electrification is old but still functional, though rewiring is recommended. Dimensions: Height 83 cm, Diameter 36 cm.
