Here is a beautiful glazed ceramic platter featuring a leaf in a lovely emerald green on a cream background. It is a typical botanical shape from Verceram's production between the 1940s and 1955, when the vocabulary of flora and the sea inspired this ceramics manufacturer. It is indeed stamped underneath with Verceram France and the model number 4675, which leads me to believe it dates from the 1950s to 1955. The leaf is slightly recessed compared to the cream background, and its veins are slightly raised, resulting in two shades of green. These details, characteristic of Verceram's high-quality production, bring the piece to life, giving it a very vibrant appearance. This platter will be perfect for presenting canapés at aperitifs or cheese after dinner, but it could also complement a collection for enthusiasts of this brand or ceramics from the 1950s in general. It is in very good condition, with no scratches or abrasions, although there is one flaw, a sort of crack, fortunately located under the rim, making it invisible when the platter is placed on the table. This flaw seems to be original, as it is hard to imagine a blow that would have caused it without leaving a real chip. This platter has a diameter of 28 cm and a thickness of 2 cm.
