Painting signed Béchon-Sauzeau, oil on canvas, scene of characters, Narbonne, wall decoration, oil painting, 1940s. Painting created by Pierre BECHON-SAUZEAU (1924-2006), a painter from Poitou and member of the Salon des Artistes Français, he received several distinctions in 1956: the silver medal from the SAF, the VH Lesur prize, the young painting prize, as well as a selection for the Critique prize... The artist regularly presents his work in galleries. In 1956-57, he created, under the direction of Jean Cocteau, the frescoes of the St Pierre Chapel in Villefranche sur Mer and the murals of the wedding hall of the town hall in Menton. From 1971, the artist entered television as a decorator, while continuing his painting career and exhibiting at the Galerie St Séverin in Paris in 1974, in Rochefort in 1976, 1980, and 1986.
