Dimensions: height 35 cm • diameter at the base 13 cm • diameter at the neck 18.5 cm Studio-Linie: The Rosenthal studio-linie line was launched in 1961 and has its own mark. The Rosenthal basic stamp consists of the classic Rosenthal lettering and the word "studio-linie". This Rosenthal mark identifies avant-garde design collections created in collaboration between renowned artists and designers and Rosenthal. Pieces bearing the Rosenthal studio-linie basic stamp can be clearly dated after 1961 and are aimed at a design-conscious audience. Tapio Wirkkala: Tapio Wirkkala was born in 1915 in Hanko, Finland, and died in 1985 in Espoo, Helsinki. He began his design career working for Raymond Loewy, one of the "forefathers" of industrial design. Wirkkala's very first piece, which he presented at the renowned Triennale design museum in Milan, earned him three gold medals and the coveted Grand Prix. This was the first in a long list of accolades, which would later include an honorary doctorate from the Royal College of Art in London. As a graphic designer and interior designer, he left his mark on the international art world, and his creations paved the way for the global success of Nordic design. Alain le Foll: Alain Le Foll, born July 4, 1934 in Gesnes and died June 22, 1981 in Châtenay-Malabry, was a French illustrator, painter, and lithographer. From 1962, he collaborated with the Rosenthal factory. He was a professor at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs from 1964 to 1981.
