Monumental Daum French crystal bowl / centerpiece 79cm

A particularly large and sculptural crystal centerpiece from the renowned French glass house Daum France. This impressive object has an elongated, organic shape with gracefully raised points and an almost floating silhouette. The combination of clear crystal, flowing lines, and the large size makes it a real eye-catcher both as a bowl and as a standalone art object. The object is hand-signed at the base with 'Daum France' and the characteristic Lorraine cross. The design is typical of Daum's post-war modernist production and probably dates from around 1950-1965. Comparable models are often referred to in the trade as 'Swallowtail' or freeform centerpiece. With a length of no less than 79 cm, this is an exceptionally large specimen. A beautiful object for a large dining table, sideboard, counter, or as a centerpiece in a modern, mid-century, or eclectic interior. Dimensions: Length: 79 cm, Width: 26 cm, Height: 28 cm. Condition: Perfect condition, almost no scratches visible. Beautiful clear crystal and no chips visible.
