Rare victorian era plates from brown, westhead, moore and co, one of the most remarkable english faience factories of the late 19th in great britain 1870-1880. Here a set of 9 splendid flat plates of soft and dense iron earth faience decorated with the transfer of a dishevelled passion flower pattern in charcoal black grey. Lobed tower, beautifully placed drawing, wide, open and very flat english format, weighty and yet hyper neutral. No or few traces of use. Diameter 26.5cm. A tiny cooking defect photographed. Sublime and untraceable. Dishes and salad bowls available.
