Midcentury pencil reed rattan bamboo and brass table lamp, 1970s

Stunning and extremely rare pencil reed table lamp with original shade, 1970s. This lamp has been attributed to italy where working with pencil reed was popular in the gabriella crespi era in the 1970s but as we've never seen this model before its hard to attribute it with certainty. The original shade has some light wear on the corners as can be seen in the pics but this takes nothing away from its overall look and feel. The bracket to hold the shade is most likely not original to the lamp ( one would expect a rectangular bracket ) but it work and is also at the perfect height. The shade and its wonderful zigzag base works in various positions as can be seen in the pics. The lamp has been completely refitted ( brass ) and rewired and is in perfect working condition and can be used with any general e27 lightbulb.
