Ceramic vase by Stig Lindberg, with silver inlay from the "Grazia" series, signed underneath. Made by Gustavsberg in Sweden around 1960. Good condition. Signed.GUSTAVSBERG GRAZIA. Anchor No. 215. Sweden. The vase is covered with a matte white glaze and features intricate relief patterns painted in silver. Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most famous Scandinavian designers of the post-war era. He joined the Gustavsberg Studio in 1937, trained by Willhelm Kåge. He was appointed Kåge's successor in 1949 and became the artistic director of Gustavsberg himself. His work has been exhibited at the Swedish National Museum and has won numerous awards, including the gold medal and the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale. His designs from the 1950s and 1960s (like this piece from 1967) are the most sought after.
