Jacqueline Gelb, a self-taught ceramicist, began her artistic journey at the age of 16 in 1953, joining a painting workshop in Villefranche-sur-Mer. Over time, she acquired exceptional mastery in this art, to the point of buying the workshop where she had started. As part of her family business, she alone took on the creation of paintings on ceramic pieces. Her expertise and passion led her to develop a unique technique allowing her to reproduce animals on ceramics, inspired by the cave paintings of the famous Lascaux cave. This artistic approach allowed her to create original and evocative pieces, transporting the viewer through the ages to the origins of rock art. This model with a handle dates from the 1970s. It is in excellent condition. Height: 24 cm. Width: 15 cm. Depth: 12 cm.
