For Expo 70 Japan, held in 1970, the company ‘T Spectrum sent, among other items, Armchair SZ07. This was exhibited at their pavilion together with Model SZ08 - Ladies' Armchair (Osaka) and Model SZ09 - Gentlemen's Armchair (Nagoya). The Expo 70 exhibition was a resounding success for the Dutch pavilion; therefore, the Dutch pavilion was depicted on a Dutch postage stamp in 1970. The Expo was also very successful for ’t Spectrum and Martin Visser, and the models received high praise. After the Expo, the armchairs acquired names such as Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagoya. The chairs feature matte chrome tubular frames, which have been polished by us. For seating comfort, the armchairs have dark brown leather webbing. Over the years, the webbing had lost its elasticity, but we have adjusted it for a better seat. The seat and backrest form a single cushion but consist of two separate sections. The cushions are made by us from black cowhide leather, and we have fitted black leather buttons into the cushions. The buttons are attached to the black-brown webbing with black buttons.
