Vintage Creafort coffee table 1960s teak with rattan magazine shelf

A coffee table that immediately evokes the atmosphere of the 1960s. This original Creafort surfboard table combines airy lines with refined details and warm teak wood. The elliptical top rests securely in the frame thanks to four subtle recesses that fit precisely around the legs. This thoughtful detail not only provides stability but also gives the table a recognizable and characterful silhouette. The base consists of four solid hardwood tapered legs, finished in a slightly darker shade than the top. This contrast enhances the graphic lines. The legs are connected by organically curved teak sections, giving the whole a soft, almost sculptural appearance. The tabletop features a warm teak veneer with a vibrant wood grain on one side. The other side is finished with durable Formica, practical and moisture-resistant. This allows you to choose between pure wood or a sleeker, easy-care finish. Beneath the tabletop is a beautifully woven rattan reading tray. Ideal for books and magazines, its open design keeps the table light and airy. We fully restored this table in our workshop. The frame was re-glued, damaged rattan parts were repaired, and old maintenance layers were carefully removed. After hand sanding, the wood was treated with a transparent matte oil, fully restoring its warm tones and natural character. The table is immediately ready for use.
