Brown glazed stoneware jug from Beauvais or vintage Bonny.

Superb spouted jug, made of Beauvais or Bonny stoneware, brown with shiny silver reflections. Vintage. Traditionally handcrafted. Beautiful flared shape towards the top, small lid and spout, equipped with two handles on the sides of the lid, one above the lid and one at the back. Lovely incised and beaded texture. Maximum height with handle: 24-25 cm, body alone: 19.5 cm, maximum width/diameter: 18 cm. In new condition, however, the lid has a relatively significant but discreet chip when closed, manufacturing defects on one side, two large drops of glaze. A very nice decorative rustic chic set, the same goes for the lid. The object remains very beautiful, rustic yet elegant with these handles. Weighs approximately 1.5 to 2 kg.
