Danish sofa Minerva Series by Peter Hvidt for France and Son 1950s

Dimensions 190 X 80 X 85 X 43 cm (wxdxhxsh) This shapely and comfortable sofa was designed by danish designers peter hvidt and orla mølgaard nielsen for france and daverkosen. The mid-century daybed comes with a solid teak wood frame, two very rare armrests and with the original box spring cushions that have been updated with new foam and new upholstery. The cushions rest on the original rubber springs - a very lovely detail. The back rest and arm rests are made out of a teak wood and chrome steel and makes the back of the sofa very pleasant to look at. It can easily be used as a free standing sofa in larger rooms. The sofa comes with the manufacturer’s metal tag. The wood shows only minor signs of wear and tear, like smaller scratches and bumbs, mainly on the lower legs. The cushions have been updated with new foam coating and new upholstery. The sofa comes in lovely condition.
