Mid-Century Danish AJ Royal 500 Suspension by Arne Jacobsen for Louis Poulsen

The AJ Royal 500 suspension light from the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen is based on a design by architect and designer Arne Jacobsen from the early 1960s. A timeless classic of design by Poulsen. The simple, hemispherical shape of the outer shade is particularly striking, dissolving into slats at the top. The lamp diffuses both direct and indirect light. The upper ring with three E27 sockets primarily provides indirect lighting downwards and through the slats into the room. The lower socket, placed in a funnel, directly illuminates the area beneath the fixture. This central socket is designed for a mirror bulb. The original Poulsen cover is included.
