Sculptural lamp in openwork mineral concretion, brutalist style – 42 cm

Decorative lamp made of a block of limestone mineral concretion with a naturally perforated structure, resting on a base of carved soft stone. The material, very porous and irregular, comes from natural formations possibly of marine origin and offers a particularly pronounced organic appearance. The internal light diffuses a soft and nuanced ambient illumination, filtering through the cavities to create a lively ornamental effect, playing on the reliefs and depths of the stone. The whole evokes the brutalist or artisanal productions of the 1970s. Total height of approximately 42 cm (including base). Weight of approximately 10 kg. Cable with integrated switch, functionality tested. Used condition with a uniform patina. Note a chip and visible repairs on the soft stone base, as well as irregularities and small losses inherent to the natural structure of the concretion.
