Chair No. 14 is the most famous chair of the originally German firm Thonet, which later relocated to Vienna. Designed by its founder Michael Thonet in 1859. This set of 4 No. 14 chairs was produced by Josef Hoffmann, around 1900. Marked with a paper label under the seat. The chairs have been renovated, with the wood cleaned of its old surface, painted with rosewood stain, and finished with a semi-matte varnish. The chairs have been inspected and are stable. The rattan is in very good original condition.
