Vintage 1980s glazed terracotta chess knight or horse head.

Superb large horse head that could evoke a chess knight, made of handcrafted terracotta, signed J-B, vintage dated 1988. Relatively detailed, with a hole through the mouth, possibly for a bridle, brown glaze at the eye, shifting to khaki in the light, and a nose speckled with light yellow. A very nice decorative piece with a signature to be identified, probably unique, from a local production of a pottery workshop or a student potter's work. 25cm in height, 14cm in diameter at the round base, approximately 20cm in depth. In very good overall condition, with only a natural crackle in the glaze, discreet, as well as a chip at the tip of each ear, very subtle on the left and discreet on the right. Weighs approximately 2kg.
