Vintage 1950s solid elm wood lamp base

Solid wood lamp base, vintage 50s. The wood is elm, a species which offers beautiful dark veins. The lamp base is heavy. French electrification is old but it is not the original one, it is older than the lamp base. It could be replaced by a newer one. The lamp accommodates a bayonet socket bulb. The wood part has small scratches, see photos, they could be hidden by applying wood oil. The lamp works. Height with socket: 21 cm. Diameter: 16 cm. Weight: 1675g.
