Discover this set of 3 beautiful rare engravings featuring a cricket insect and birds of prey ⭐ these plates, more than 180 years old, documents full of history, were published in paris in 1839 in a natural history encyclopedia. ⭐ these works, hand-colored at the time with the greatest care, combine the beauty of nature with scientific accuracy ⭐ lithographs measuring 18 X 28.5 cm each are enhanced by cream-colored papers and extremely detailed printing thanks to the steel engraving process. ⭐ these illustrations are superb zoological and botanical pieces down to their colors and details ⭐ they are all taken from a work by fe guerin-meneville and illustrated by du casse, a french draftsman and engraver. ⭐ the engravings are in good condition, note small defects inherent to time, binding and the nature of the paper, especially in the left margin.
