Evoluon desk lamp by Louis Kalff for Philips with a perforated saucer shade.
Desk lamp model Evoluon, also known as the saucer, designed by Louis Kalff for Philips in the 1950s-1960s. The large lampshade in anthracite gray lacquered metal, shaped like a saucer, is pierced with a crown of small holes that diffuse a luminous halo. The straight stem, enhanced by a brass ring, rises from a weighted circular base that houses the switch. The original lacquer shows scratches and small signs of use; the old cable needs to be checked. Louis Kalff, artistic director of Philips, signed the most sought-after luminaires of the brand. A modernist lamp for a desk, a console, or as a bedside lamp. Dimensions: Width: 40 cm Height: 52 cm Depth: 40 cm
