Here is a very beautiful tray with lines that are very much in the Art Deco style, combining circles and straight lines, with its fan-shaped handles typical of trays from this period and featuring a lovely decoration representing a rose, which is not stylised at all like the "Art Deco" flowers. This dichotomy leads me to think that this tray dates from the early Art Deco period, perhaps the 1910s or 1920s. The tray is made of wood and has a glass cover to protect the painting of the rose. The painting itself is astonishing, featuring shiny, shimmering reflections depending on the light, with gold on the leaves and white or even silver on the edges of the pink rose petals. It is signed, possibly Lo. However, although I have found a few other works with the same signature (but never on such a beautiful round tray), I have not been able to identify the artist who created this painting. This tray is in generally good condition, solid, with no chips on the wooden frame, but obviously it does show some signs that testify to its good hundred years: the wood has some water stains, areas lacking varnish (a layer of glossy varnish would suit it very well, but I leave that to your judgement; perhaps you prefer it with its patina of time), the back of the tray (also wooden) has stains and a small缺失, the glass is intact but has two or three small scratches, very minor, and there are small marks on the painting or under the glass, mostly located at the edges and not very visible. The tray measures 32.5 cm in diameter, 37 cm in maximum width (including the handles), and 2.5 cm in thickness.
