Turquoise blue vase with relief decoration. Circa: 1950 – 1960 France - Annecy. Model by Charles Cart for the Cyclope workshop. A beautiful example of finely crafted style in a captivating unique blue. With an organic presence evoking elements of water and ice, in its flowing shape, of foam and reflections. The vase remains in very good condition. Height: 12.5 cm Diameter: 12 cm. Weight: 391g. The collaboration between Charles Cart and the Le Cyclope factory began in the 1950s-1960s, where Charles Cart, a ceramicist based in Annecy, created iconic works under the name "Émaux des Glaciers." Cart is particularly known for his volcanic glazing technique, or "fat lava, " which mimics the textures of glaciers, offering crater-like effects and deep colours in turquoise, black, and white. This unique style attracted attention for its bold shapes and icy textures, marking the era of French handcrafted pieces.
