Naturalia / marine curiosities set: White coral branch with a red base (but it is very discreetly visible), with cypraea shell base and seahorse. The set is quite roughly made, we can see at the junction of the two elements traces of glue and glitter to cover it which gives it a little kitsch side, even if the object remains a testimony speaking of the marine species that can be found in Martinique or the Antilles. This object is also a souvenir of trips to these areas that tourists bought before taking the plane and returning to Europe or elsewhere. Corals deprived of algae and aquatic environment lose their color and become white once removed from their aquatic environment. In front of this composition we can find: a red coral, a small shell (whose tip is broken), and a real dried seahorse. (naturalia: animalia.) Composition of coral branch: Height: 15cm. Width: 12cm. Depth: 10cm. Weight: 332g. Red coral: Height: 2.5cm. Width: 5cm. Depth: 4.5cm. Weight: 21g. Small shell: Height: 2.5cm. Width: 5.5cm. Depth: 3.5cm. Weight: 7g. Seahorse: Height: 4.5cm. Width: 2.5cm. Depth: 4mm. Weight: 1g. A souvenir from another era, these objects may show some signs of age.
