Signed mid-century modern glass vase by mona morales-schildt for kosta, sweden, 1950s. This beautiful vase is made of thick clear glass with some nice optic effects. The vase is from the “ventana” series, which mona morales-schildt is best known for. Her designs are seemingly simple but there is a complexity in the way light refracts within the crystal and on the surfaces of the vase. Signed: "kosta|ss 5333" (see pictures). Height: 19.5 cm; width: 11 cm; depth: 7.5 cm. Weight: 2.1 kg. Excellent vintage condition. Mona morales-schildt was one of sweden’s leading glass artists of the 20th century. She was a prominent designer of cased art glass with strong colors and optic effects. Her artistry is represented at the swedish national museum of art and design.
