A water carafe made of faceted crystal, created at the renowned Moser factory in Karlovy Vary (then Czechoslovakia) at the beginning of the 20th century. It features an impressive gradient colour transition from intense, transparent cobalt at the neck and broad shoulders to a completely clear base. The cut, geometric shape of the carafe highlights both the craftsmanship and the pursuit of harmony between form and function – the vertical, faceted panels on the body are typical of late Art Nouveau and early Art Deco influences. The slender neck gently widens towards a more massive, stable foot, and the high gloss and clarity of the crystal bring out every detail of the cut. The manufacturer's signature is visible on the bottom. The product is in excellent condition, with no visible damage, chips, or signs of use; the surface is smooth, shiny, and free of patina. This carafe tells the story of the birth of European modernism, when the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco produced everyday objects that were as functional as they were decorative. The cobalt gradient and crystal clarity evoke the atmosphere of the era, when glass was meant not only to serve but also to enchant with light. The precision of the cut allows one to think of it as an object that could have a place both on a Biedermeier sideboard and in a geometric 1930s living room. The carafe reflects light in a way reminiscent of dawn over an Eastern European city – cool, clear, and full of promise. In interior arrangements, the Moser carafe can function as a standalone artistic accent on a chest of drawers or console in the living room. It can be combined with other items from the first half of the 20th century – for example, Rosenthal porcelain cups, a silver tray, or a geometric fruit bowl from the same period. It works well in both classic historic interiors and in raw, collector's settings with an eclectic character, where it contrasts with modern glass or contemporary art.
