Candle holder Jens Quistgaard for Paro, Denmark 1960

These candle holders by Jens Quistgaard for Paro are iconic pieces of Danish design from the 1960s. The geometric cast iron structure, composed of multiple radiating arms, perfectly illustrates the brutalist and sculptural aesthetic of the time. Made in Denmark, this modular model allows for the assembly of several elements to create varied compositions. The raw cast iron finish, in a dark grey colour, gives the object a strong and authentic material presence. The markings "PARO" and "MADE IN DENMARK" are visible under the base, confirming its origin.
