Art deco round vase in ceramic – simone larrieu (h: 14.5cm)

Rare and authentic round vase in earthenware from the Art Deco period (circa 1930), bearing the handwritten signature of the famous ceramist Simone LARRIEU (1912-1996). This historical piece reflects the artistic collaboration between painter Simone Larrieu and her father Octave, within their renowned workshop in Maubourguet (Hautes-Pyrénées). Characteristics: • Artist: Simone LARRIEU (decoration) and Octave LARRIEU (turned shape). • Shape: Potiche vase / round with flared neck. • Decoration: Stylized floral motif typically Art Deco, hand-painted in burgundy, powder pink, and bluish mauve on an ecru beige background. • Dimensions: Height 14.5 cm|Diameter at the neck: 7 cm. • Signatures: Very clear black painted handwritten signature "S. No visible cracks on the body of the vase. • Base (underside): Note two small old chips (glaze skips from use) located only under the heel of the vase, as well as a trace of original black firing in the center.
