Large vintage double bookshelf from the 70s with chrome and smoked glass.

Selling a magnificent vintage double shelf/bookcase from the 1970s, made of chrome metal with smoked glass shelves, typical of Space Age/Mid-Century design. A very beautiful graphic and bright piece, ideal for a living room or office. Features and condition: Shelves: Original smoked glass in excellent condition, with no scratches. Just note a small usage chip in "scale" on the edge of the bottom shelf (very little visible once the furniture is in place). Fixings: All shelves are securely placed on 2 chrome bars. All 4 plastic pegs per shelf are present (24 in total). Metal structure: The chrome is shiny and in generally good condition. It shows some marks and slight rust spots in places due to age, but these can be easily removed (successfully tested with aluminium foil, the chrome regains its shine). Details: Some normal usage marks on the grey/black fixings and a small round plastic cover is missing at the back (completely invisible if the furniture is against a wall). Dimensions: Length: 160 cm. Height: 177 cm. Depth: 40 cm. The chrome structure is monobloc and cannot be disassembled. Only the glass shelves are removable for transport. Please bring an appropriate vehicle (van, utility) and blankets to protect the glass during transport. Heavy and quality furniture.
