Modular shelf "The Invisibles" by David Lange for Marais International.

Large modular bookshelf/cascade from the 80s, an iconic piece of high-end French design from the "Les Invisibles du Marais" collection by David Lange for Marais International. This architectural model plays on absolute immaterial transparency, imposing no visual mass in the room to allow light to circulate and highlight the displayed objects. Transparent plexiglass (Altuglas) uprights of substantial thickness, extremely robust. Thick tempered glass shelves with polished edges in a water green color. Brass fittings and tightening screws, an emblematic signature of the collection. Fully modular juxtaposed structure allowing the entire setup to be configured in a cascade (large module on the right or left), adjustable shelf height, and the ability to add or dissociate elements. 📏 Dimensions: Height 1: 200 cm. Height 2: 100 cm. Interior width 1: 75 cm. Interior width 2: 100 cm. Total width: 182 cm. Depth: 37 cm. Very good overall condition. This item is an antique piece sold second-hand. It naturally shows slight signs of wear and age. Specifically on this piece (visible in photos): 2 large shelves have a small chip in one corner and a nick at the corner of a large plexiglass upright. 💡 Tip: If the upright and the glass panes in question are reversed and oriented downwards and to the back during assembly, these minor defects will be on the floor and in the background, making them almost completely invisible to the naked eye. For transparency in the sale, the current assembly has been intentionally done to make these details clearly visible. ☀️ Note regarding the images: Photographing a completely transparent piece of furniture is a real technical challenge. Additionally, the site photos may sometimes lack sharpness due to automatic file compression. Please feel free to contact me via message for any questions or clarifications.
