19th C Louis Philippe mirror with small crest

Antique French 19th century Louis Philippe style gold gilt mirror with elegant small crest. This beautiful antique French gold gilt mirror has the typical rounded upper corners that make it a Louis Philippe mirror. The mirror has its original mirror plate and wooden back cladding. The gold leaf gilding shows some slight red bole through the gilding, giving the gold colour a warm touch. The mirror frame is structurally healthy and the glass is still in a very good condition. The mirror and the back are authentic and original and the mirror is old. The antique mirror has slight imperfections caused by wear and age, but is in a generally very fine state. The looking glass has a couple of foxed patches, which is all part of the mirror's authentic look and charm. Please keep in mind that in many cases we sell vintage and antique pieces.
