Antique wardrobe painted in pine wood, Central European rural furniture in Bordeaux paint originating from Central Europe and dated around 1900. It comes from Central Europe, from the late 19th century, where alpine rural furniture was painted in deep red tones as an alternative to light finishes, providing a warm chromatic touch to domestic interiors. In the rural houses of Central Europe, small wardrobes painted in Bordeaux served a storage function and added a structural chromatic note to the main room. The deep Bordeaux tone, characteristic of alpine furniture, was achieved with mineral pigments applied to prepared pine. Constructed from solid pine using traditional joinery. The front features a door with a hollow central panel and wrought iron closure fittings. The sides are moulded with a stepped profile, and the piece is topped with a moulded cornice. The carpentry is straightforward, typical of rural furniture. Details. Dimensions: Length 58 cm – Depth 21 cm – Height 74 cm. Style: Painted Central European alpine rural.
